No lecture this day - heavy rain and high wind
I came, I saw, and I feel like surrendering. I said I came, I saw, and I surrendered. Can you turn the lights down please? Can you please turn the lights down? I feel a little too stupid to try to talk in the face of what's happening around us. So I just have to admit that I'm just a little person and I really can't speak in the presence of this today.
[01:04]
So maybe we could just sit for a little while and wait for the time when I can speak. Could you hear that? Can you close it? I didn't want to yell this. Can you hear me?
[02:05]
No? Come closer. Anybody who can't hear, come closer. Anybody who can't hear? Can you hear? If you can't hear, come closer. Come around closer. The older people who have hearing problems, come closer. Can you hear now? Can you hear okay? We have a beautiful tree at Green Gulch, a live oak tree. And a few years ago we had a ceremony where I gave the tree precepts and asked the tree to teach the other trees the Buddha Dharma. And this tree, we've been trying to save, but now in this storm, it came down. So I want to tell you that, so some of you have a, I think, deep feeling for that tree.
[03:07]
I want you to hear that. And now we can do a little ceremony. Did it hit anything? I don't think it did any damage. This is the tree that's in front of the office in the tree house. At Green Gulch. The Green Gulch live oak tree in front of the office in the tree house. The message that was given is, the oak tree fell down. Vaidehi shindharani hi hi hi
